Valeska Grant

VALESKA was born in Santiago, Chile. Growing up in a Catholic family, it was expected that she attend an all girl Catholic school but Valeska had other ideas. It wasn’t long before the Nun’s labeled her “La Terremoto” (Earthquake). She was “too opinionated”, “a jokester” and “doesn’t like to follow the rules”. As such, she was kicked out of all the Catholic schools in the area.

At age 11, Valeska moved to Harrison, NY with her Grandparents where she was reunited with her mother and two sisters. Valeska learned to speak English in 6 months while watching Three’s Company. After high school, she moved to NYC and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology. While in Manhattan, she also began taking acting classes at HB studio. This is where it all clicked: she needed to perform for a living. However, after a bout with the “C” word she decided to move to Miami, slowdown and reevaluate. It didn’t take long before she found herself reconnected with acting. She booked a few co-starring roles, several national commercials, and was the co-host for Women in The Arts Latin Awards Show.

She felt in order to fully embrace the industry, she needed to move to Los Angeles. Since moving to L.A., she has studied acting with: John Rosenfeld, Margie Haber, Annie Grindlay, Doug Warhit and Joe Palese. She also attended Groundlings for comedy and was a member of Comedy Bandits. She has booked several national commercials, starred in short films, performed several plays and comedy sketches. And most recently, she has been asked to join the cast of TMI Hollywood. LA’s version of SNL... Ahhhh Heaven!!
